A collaborative effort of the IM ABLE Foundation, Gilmore Henne and Berks Youth in Action is making this 1st adaptive playground a reality at the Opportunity House! Gilmore Henne, an organization that was started by two NFL players John Gilmore and Chad Henne and whose mission is to revitalize neighborhoods and communities by building and restoring their playgrounds and creating ownership by the community to care for them. IM ABLE wanted to ensure kids of all abilities could play together and put together pieces on the playground that would accommodate children with a wide variety of disabilities so they could be included in play in this park and create more awareness of their ABILITIES.
