About IM ABLE

In 2007, the IM ABLE Foundation was created to build on the active lifestyles that founder, Chris Kaag, a disabled United States Marine, promotes for individuals with disabilities. IM ABLE’s goal is to help all individuals realize the potential to go further and push harder than their preconceived limits, because once this potential is realized, the possibilities are endless. With handcycles, racing chairs, adaptive skis and other advancements in technology, it is possible for anyone who has a disability to increase their fitness level. Never forget to appreciate what you CAN do and GET UP AND MOVE!!!

IM ABLE Ski Day - January 27th



IM ABLE is very proud and excited to present The Edge Mono-Ski to Scot Seiss on Sunday, January 27 at Whitetail Ski Resort in Mercersburg, PA. Scot has graciously offered to host IM ABLE for a ski day for both able-bodied and disabled attendees.

Scot is a bi-lateral above the knee amputee as a result of an accident in 1993. He is an experienced and avid skier who is looking to further what he can do as a disabled skier. With the use of his own mono-ski, Scot will be able to continue teaching other disabled athletes how to ski, and he will be able to participate in ski competitions. Scot not only volunteers with Two Top Adaptive Sports at Whitetail Ski Resort, but he also has been a handcycling coach for the USAT - Mid Atlantic's Paratriathlon Clinic. Scot has already been out and enjoying his new ski - a much-needed update from his 15 year old borrowed mono-ski!
